Kenda manufacture and install a comprehensive range of metering panel equipment for Code of Practice (COP) compliant Settlement (Tariff) Metering, Operational Metering, Power Quality Monitoring (PQM), Dynamic Systems Monitoring (DSM) and Phasor Measurement Units (PMU). In addition, Kenda are an Elexon accredited Meter Operator Agent (MOA) and currently support a wide variety of installations at Power Stations, HV Substations, Industrial Plants, Distribution Boundary Points and Offshore Platforms. These installations interface via Telephone Lines, GSM, RS485/422, Ethernet or Fibre Optic cabling, communicating protocols including IEC61850, IEC60870-5-104, PROFIBUS and TCPMODBUS with station Distribution Control Systems (DCS), Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA), Substation Control Systems (SCS) and Intelligent Load Management (ILM) systems as well as with Settlements Central Data Collector Agency (CDCA).

Kenda’s range of pre-wired settlement metering panels fully adhere to the requirements of the Balancing and Settlement Code (BSC) Metering COPs 1, 2, 3 and 5. The metering panels are manufactured in accordance with the Meter Operator Code of Practice Agreement (MOCOPA) and Energy Networks Association (ENA) Technical Specifications and meet the guidelines outlined by the UK’s various Distributor Network Operators (DNOs).
